The Bascom'sMeet the Bascom’s…
Eric and Amy Bascom so graciously let me into their home to tell me about the experience they had building with InLine Contractors. No strangers to building, this is the third house they have built together and while happy with their past homes, they felt there was something missing. They said that their past homes lacked attention to beauty and detail. Ultimately that is what caught their eye and attracted them to InLine Contractors.

The Bascom HomeThe Bascom’s had decided they were going to downsize slightly and started the search for a new house. A white painted brick home in Pelican Crossing caught Amy’s eye and while visiting houses along the Parade of Homes route, they stopped in to visit one. A beautiful white brick home. The house, built by InLine Contractors, showed attention to the smallest design, creativity and an overall beauty of the finished product and they fell in love with all the intricate details. Those qualities lead the Bascoms to choose InLine Contractors as the builder for their new home.IMG_6045

To start the process, the Bascom’s met with Jameson Chauvin, owner and architect with InLine contractors, to discuss what they wanted in their new home and how it needed to function to accommodate their family. From the beginning, they were impressed with Jameson’s eye for the details. For example, when Amy told him they intended for their two daughters to share a bedroom, he immediately added two larger closets to the room to accommodate a girl’s ever changing wardrobe. From strategically placed pocket doors to block off offices and hallways, to making sure there was enough extra storage, every detail had thought put into it. Amy said that Jameson had once told her:IMG_6046

“anyone can build a house, but I like to build it for a family. If you build a home for a family of five, you need it to function for that number of people.”

IMG_6052Once the plans were finalized, building began. Eric and Amy said that the process was smooth and easy. If they had any questions or concerns, they would pick up the phone and call Jameson and it would be taken care of immediately. They both claimed that it was the best experience they’ve ever had building and that they worked well with Jameson. They said that he [Jameson] was amazing in accommodating their family and was really gracious throughout the process.

They are all settled in now and are in love with their new neighborhood, house and IMG_5871_editedespecially the view of the lake from their back porch. They said that watching the sunset in their back yard makes it feel like resort living, all that is missing is a butler.

Their family has been enjoying the neighborhood pool and the great community. Amy is loving every beautiful detail of the home. In fact, while visiting with the Bascom’s, a friend stopped by and the first words out her mouth were “that light is beautiful” and “I love

Amy and Eric said that they feel like the house decorates itself, they don’t need to add decor, instead they let the architecture and finishing touches speak for themselves. While Amy loves the details, Eric loves his shower and the never ending flow of hot water that it provides.

In the end, the Bascom’s experience was so pleasant that they’ve already recommended InLine Contractors to their friends and said that if they ever build again, they would definitely do it with InLine Contractors.
